5th Grade: Hip Hop Name Ceramics
5th grade students continued their Hip-Hop themed art by creating ceramic vessels, frames, boxes, or plaques incorporating the graffiti style art they designed for their Hip-Hop names. First, students sketched their ideas. They reviewed their original graffiti name art and selected hand building clay techniques such as slabs, pinch pots, and coil pots to construct their art in clay. They selected glaze colors and glazed their bisque fired creations in bright colors.
Each piece is unique to the artist who created it.
